Toby Keith Covel is an American country music singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer.

He is professionally known as Toby Keith. He released his first four studio albums in 1993’s Toby Keith, 1994’s Boomtown, and 1996’s Blue Moon, as well as 1997’s Dream Walkin’, plus a Greatest Hits package for various divisions at Mercury Records. He left Mercury in 1998.

He was born on the 8th of July 1961(age 60 years) in Clinton, Oklahoma, United States and he is 60 years old. He was born to his parents Hubert Keith Covel his father and Carolyn Joan Covel his mother. He has two siblings a sister and a brother.

He attended Highland West Junior High and Moore High School, where he played defensive end on the football team.

In the year 1982, when he was employed in the oil industry in Oklahoma began a rapid decline and he soon found himself unemployed. He fell back on his football training and played defensive end with the semi-pro Oklahoma City Drillers while continuing to perform with his band.

The Drillers were an unofficial farm club of the United States Football League’s Oklahoma Outlaws, Keith tried out for the Outlaws but did not make the team. He then returned to focus once again on music.
